I'll always remember,
When the plaster burned my eyes,
And the shouts rent my ears.
I'll always remember,
The screams in my head,
And the tears on my arm.
When I held,
My little brother,
And hurried him
Underbed.
To run from
The wrath,
Of our parents
Overhead.
I'll always remember,
My dad's fist,
Slamming through the door.
And I'll always remember,
The chips of wood that scorched my cheeks,
Scarring my mind to this day.
Twisting and turning,
You're spirit trapped in a daze,
When you're with him,
Caught in a phase.
The decision should be simple,
But it never is,
Because to your mind,
Your were once his.
You need to help,
Yet you're so torn,
About what he'll do,
If left alone.
Because of this,
You cannot leave,
And with this,
You give him what he needs.
A heart to hurt,
A tear to see,
A soul to cry,
And a life to bleed.
But you hold him so tight,
So close to you,
Listening to what he says,
And ignoring what he does do.
And you're caught in a phase,
Torn between us two,
The choice is simple,
But you don't know what to do.
I can look and see,
Beyond all possibility,
The two of us together,
Now and forever.
"And till death do us part,"
Are the words that form the start,
Of a love far beyond dreams,
And much more than it may seem.
Our hands form a bond,
Un-broken throughout our song,
And the cries inside my mind,
Are silenced for all of time.
The world is full of harm,
But you are safe within my arms,
We continue our beginning as friends,
Yet now something so much more has been sent.
The preacher reads his book,
And between us, passes a look,
Full of love and devotion,
And promises of fiery emotion.
A ring held in my hand,
And before me you s
Shadows walking these empty halls,
Walls echoing their lonely calls,
No light has entered here,
This place of dark and lonely fear.
Tears fall into the night,
Lost forever to sight,
But now held so tightly by you,
My heart bursts forth anew.
All the world fades away,
And I know I've found a new day,
Now that you have me,
I can truly see.
That which was hidden,
Deep behind sin,
Flows forth from my soul,
Clouding all thoughts of ration.
Please never pull away,
And leave me alone another day,
To walk amongst the shadows,
In these deep and desolate hallows.
He wandered the streets,
So lonely and deserted,
Devoid of the sound,
Of softly stomping feet.
No eyes peeked from the window,
And no mouths spoke words,
Curiosity was completely gone,
In the wake of sorrow sown.
His ears heard naught,
And there was naught to hear,
His eyes saw nothing,
And there was nothing sought.
He made deserted homes a place of refuge,
Walked the city streets as the city silently sleeps,
Dreaming of a better tomorrow,
In the wake of his depression.
He left so long ago,
His love burned to ashes,
His heart ripped apart,
And nothing left in his soul.
He was cast away,
A deserted life,
In the maelstro
She looked up into your eyes,
And asked such a simple question,
"Mommy, why do you cry?"
Tears streaked your face,
And you replied to her,
"Because daddy left our place."
"Daddy?" and she looked away,
You asked yourself why,
Why wouldn't he stay?
The love that you had,
Still burned so brightly,
And all you could do was be sad.
You remembered his face,
And all things that were,
Before you sent him to a different place.
You said it was for the best,
But how could it be?
When you felt your torn chest.
And you held her and cried,
For all the times gone and past,
Because now you felt your heart die.
Even the light casts,
A dark, solemn shadow,
Upon the hearts of men,
Bathed in their own wretched sin.
Even the night casts,
A soft, brilliant glow,
Upon the souls of men,
Allowing their crimes to dim.
With gazes searching the sky,
They ignore what's at their feet,
And buried deep below,
Is his boiling hatred never to show.
Eyes hide what's deep inside,
Hands clench in frustrating anger,
And underneath his smiles,
Lurks his dark, festering bile.
The lies flow from his lips,
And noone ever suspects,
That maybe his words are wrong,
And they never hear his terrible song.
Pleas of mercy and help,
Go ignored by all,
And even
On this night of Hallows Eve,
People wander around with hands out,
Begging for something sweet,
To fill their puffed-out cheeks.
The meaning has been forgotten,
In the drudgeries of time,
No longer are we haunted,
By what we've never wanted.
We pretend to be the dead,
Laughing and enjoying,
While we've forgotten what was said,
About honoring our dead.
Skeletons rise form dark graves,
And walk amongst us,
While spirits cry to be saved,
And lament their last few days.
We ignore what can't be seen,
And go about our gaiety,
And forget what has been,
We don't notice what can never be...
A long time ago,
When we were both young,
We found each other,
And thought our search was done.
So many people,
Spend their whole lives looking,
For what we did have,
And are now missing.
We used to be in love,
But now we're just in like,
No one can help us,
And my god, none of this is right.
What the hell did we ever do?
To move so far apart?
So our hands no longer touched,
And we forget we ever had a start?
Something had to have changed,
But as we look back,
All we see is our innocent selves,
And what small sense we lacked.
No mistake was made,
Yet no regrets were passed,
When so suddenly,

We are together,
Now and forever.
Nothing in our way,
Only bright and sunny days.
About Joy we talk,
With a lilt in our walk.
Laughter is our song,
There is nothing wrong!
But when you go away,
The world starts to sway.
Throwing me off-balance,
And staying alive is such a challenge.
For when I can't see you,
There is nothing worthwhile to do.
My thoughts go astray,
And I cannot keep them at bay.
I worry all the time,
I worry of what I will find,
I worry each and every day,
In our time spent away.
That I shall get a sign,
That you are no longer mine!
And I won't be a

I close my eyes, only for a moment, and the moment's gone
All my dreams, pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind, all they are is dust in the wind.
Same old song, just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do, crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see
Dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind
[Now] Don't hang on, nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away, and all your money won't another minute buy.
Dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind
Dust in the wind, everything is dust in the wind.

So i've been working at the Del Mar Fair (San Diego County Fair) for the last month or so. Dam i never really realized exactly how much it sucked to be working 13 and 14 hour days... But i know my poetry posting had gone absolutely stagnant over that period of time so i hope to catch up real quick. I've already posted three new poems up for you guys and there should be another one or two on the way, hopefully this weekend sometime! So OMG everybody happy summer!!! Enjoy the beach and the sun and don't get burned like me! Later
